become an apprentice

The Apprentice Program at Atlantic Stage gives high school students the opportunity to grow in their understanding of professional theatre by being actively involved with professional productions.

The program begins in the fall with orientation at the theatre which is attended by the students and their parents. Prospective apprentices have the opportunity to view the space and learn more specific information about the commitment and responsibility involved in the apprentice program.

Apprentices will be provided small group training through periodic workshops from Atlantic Stage’s theatre professionals and Guest Artists, as well as hands-on experience as backstage crew, light and sound board operators, props masters, dressers, and/or assistant stage managers.

The program is designed to nurture life-long theatre lovers as well as practitioners of all aspects of the theatrical arts.

If you are interested in being an apprentice, download the form on this page and fill it out with your parents. Then email it back to us or print it out and send it to us at:
